On February 23rd, 2002, Brian Cimins hosted the 2nd Grapplers Quest West Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first ever Superfight Absolute Submission Grappling Division on the planet was hosted which featured competitors of all sizes and from all types of ground fighting backgrounds including:

No-Gi Submission expert, David Terrell (Cesar Gracie/NorCal Fighting Alliance), PRIDE Fighting Championships Veteran, Bobby Southworth (American Kickboxing - Season 1 Ultimate Fighter), Former King of the Cage Champion, Javier Vasquez (Showtime BJJ), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Cameron Earle (Ralph Gracie), Submission Wrestling Expert and 8-Time Grapplers Quest Champion, Todd Margolis (Lloyd Irvin), Team Freedom’s Ahmad Reese (famous for submitting ADCC Veteran, Ricco Rodriguez via leglock), Judo Expert and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Mark Kompaneyets (Marcus Vinicius), and finally Submission Expert and student of Olympic Wrestling Champion, Mark Schultz, Justin Ellison (Walt Bayless), as well as an EPIC alternate match many called "The Greatest Comeback in Grappling History" featuring Eddy Rolon (Team End Game) vs. UFC veteran, Edwin Dewees.
